Ashley Gray was born in 1971 and raised in Maryland with his parents and his two older brothers. Growing up, Ashley vacationed with his family in Rangeley, Maine. He carved his first sculpture on Long Pond, Maine, at the age of nine. Ashley always found great inspiration in wildlife and nature and moved to Rangeley in 2003.
Ashley has been featured in the prestigious Art Expo at the Jacob Javits Center in New York City and has also represented the United States in Australia. He has been featured in several magazines and television programs, including the Discovery Channel’s Louis and Clark Documentary, for which Ashley recreated original-styled canoes.
Ashley feels so blessed to have the support of his family and friends, and he attributes his success to that support. His love for creating art for everyone to enjoy keeps him both inspired and humbled.
