June Prayer Alert from CEO Allen Speer

Dear Agape Flights Prayer Force,

Growing up in a pastor’s family meant I was in church every time the doors were opened. As a result, I can tell you where every song is in the Baptist Hymnal along with the page number. One hymn has a tremendous meaning to me, “Standing on the Promises of God.” I have often wondered if we should change the word “standing” to the word “praying.”

Jesus said, “Everyone who hears these words of mine and puts them into practice is like a wise man who built his house on the rock.” (Matthew 7:24 NIV)

When we pray God’s promises, we are putting Jesus’ words into practice, laying a firm foundation for our lives. Therefore, anytime I have a problem, big or small, I find a promise to pray. Praying God’s promises exercises and strengthens my faith. When praying the promises of God, the focus is on God’s power and limitless resources rather than the problem. Our heavenly Father is bigger than any challenge we will encounter, no matter how painful or scary or uncertain it may seem now.

Whatever you are going through, I encourage you to find a verse for the situation. Pray his promises and trust that the result will be His power and presence revealed.

Will you join us in praying His promises specifically about these challenges?

    • Additional staff – Specifically we are searching for a Pilot, a Director of Communications, and a Donor Database Coordinator. (For more information go to agapeflights.com/ministry-opportunities/)
Luke 11: 9-10 (Ask, knock, open and receive)

    • The maintenance team going to Haiti to repair and return the F-406 to our hangar. Psalms 121:8 (“The Lord will watch over your coming and going.”)

    • Resumed flights into Cuba beginning in late June.
Psalms 12:5 (“Because the poor are plundered and the needy groan, I will now arise, says the Lord.”)

    • Additional funding for the new hangar/maintenance facility project. Philippians 4:19 (“My God will meet all of your needs.”)

    • Agape’s mission partners throughout the nations of the Caribbean. Romans 8:37 (“We are more than conquerors.”)

Thank you for praying His promises! Here are two of God’s responses to your prayers:

✓ We have received confirmation from Cuban authorities that we have authorization for our first return flight into Cuba with much needed humanitarian supplies during the last week of June.

✓ We are in the process of procuring two engines and props for the F-406 to return it back to Venice and into service sometime later this summer.

Praying His promises together,

Allen T. Speer, Chief Executive Officer
