Teaming together to benefit Ebenezer Baptist Church and the community of Sweetings Cay, Grand Bahama
June 9, 2021: Sweetings Cay is located just off the eastern coast of Grand Bahama and accessible only by boat. Most of the houses on Sweetings Cay were completely destroyed in the 2019 Hurricane Dorian. During the storm, residents evacuated their homes and ran for cover to Ebenezer Baptist church. The church building and its adjoined mission house were among the few structures to remain standing on the island. However, as homes are currently being rebuilt, the church hasn’t received any aid as of yet to complete its repairs. Damaged areas for the sanctuary include roofing, electrical systems, windows and doors. The mission/guest house was completely flooded and has been stripped away to reveal a shell in need of full interior and exterior renovation.
Through our collaboration and much prayer, Hope Fleet, a Christian nonprofit organization that utilizes sailboats to deliver supplies, services and hope to the Caribbean, and Agape Flights have joyfully joined hearts and hands, forming a partnership to bring hope to Sweetings Cay: “Hope Flies & Hope Floats.”
We are so happy to share this exciting news because there is another partner in this effort. It is you!
That’s right, you! When we go, we transport needed resources, opening the opportunity to share the unconditional love of Jesus Christ. The impact upon the Caribbean for Christ is obvious when the Good News is shared! Because you give, we go and God gets the Glory!
THANK YOU for giving!
THANK YOU for praying!
THANK YOU for being a partner in this vital ministry of service…
