Dear Agape Staff and Donors of the Agape Thanksgiving Dinner project:

From the Wesson family serving in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, we would like to extend our many thanks to you for providing us yet again, with another delicious Thanksgiving dinner this year!

Thank you to all who donated, packed the supplies, and delivered them down here to us.  We had a wonderful, fun, relaxing time with several other missionary families sharing our dinners along with apple, pecan, chocolate meringue pie, and pumpkin dessert.   It was an awesome day!

We appreciate your love, sacrifice, and generosity to provide that for us, and pray the Lord will bless you for your love and kindness to our family.

May you have a wonderful Christmas season celebrating Christ’s birth.

With much love from the Dominican Republic,

Joy, Stephen, Ashlyn, and Katlyn Wesson

HOLA to our Agape family and so many others who helped to bring us and others a wonderful Thanksgiving.

We were blessed to have part of a family of nine join us.  Rebecca moved back to the states two years ago but her family (adult children) still live here in the DR, working and/or attending university.

It was so good to have all our fixin's ready and waiting on Thanksgiving day.  The Lord has blessed us to be here in the DR over many years and have so many share a meal at our table.... Americans, Dominicans, Haitians, Norwegians, Venezuelans, whoever the Lord brings into our lives to share HIS light.

Thank you so much.

I thank my God every time I remember you.  In all my prayers for all of you, I always pray with joy because of your partnership in the gospel from the first day until now,  being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.  Philippians 1

Hi Agape and all the volunteers from schools and churches who made our thanksgiving celebration possible,

We had a really good afternoon together with some good friends. It was our daughter's first thanksgiving at 3 weeks of age - and though she didn't get to taste the food, she sure gives us a lot to be grateful for!

Thank you and God bless!

Thank-You to Agape flights, the donors, and volunteers that made the Thanksgiving meal distribution to the Missionaries in Haiti Possible.  I was able share my meal with 7 other missionaries in the area.  It was a blessing to be able to share the blessing you provided to me.  After the last several months it almost felt like I was in the U.S. for the day as we celebrated and gave thanks.

Beyond blessed by your love,

Kelby Klassen | Kelby's Kids | Haiti

I wanted to thank you guys for the wonderful blessing you gave us for Thanksgiving and share the seed that have been planted.  AS we have shared with you we have been using Thanksgiving as an opportunity to point people to Christ.  It is the perfect holiday because people here in the DR are curious about it and we can use that curiosity to share the reason for Thanksgiving.  A day which originated as a time set aside to to give praise and thanks to an awesome God who loved us so much that he would send His son to die for our sins.  Each year the outreach continues to grow.  This year we had 5 Turkeys and 104 people come for food, fellowship and to hear the Good News!  Thanks again!  It is because of you and your faithful supporters we are able to do what we do!  We love you guys!

Just a quick note to say thank you for the thanksgiving care package!

The food was certainly a blessing to us at our Freedom family thanksgiving event today. Sometimes being away from family is difficult, and even more so around the holidays.  All of us feel a little bit of a loss when we think of gatherings that are happening at home without us. However, your gifts are one of the sweet reminders of the love and care that God supplies through the hands of brothers and sisters in Christ. We are grateful for you, Agape Missions!

With sincerest thanks,

The Suon Family | Jason, Becky, Finn, Paisley, Stacia, & Moses | Dominican Republic

Here’s a photo from today of some of our ladies tending to the turkeys! 🙂

Dear Friends at Agape:

Here are some photos of our Thanksgiving celebrations. On Wednesday night we had a big dinner with our La Vega Christian School family. Missionary Chris Wilson knew how to carve that turkey - all 80 guests had a piece. Good thing we had the fixings. A new missionary was happy to make her mother's sweet potato casserole. I gave her the can of sweet potatoes and the marshmallows you sent in the box. She asked me to buy another can, but searching all over La Vega did not yield one. But the one she made with fresh pineapple was perfect. On Thanksgiving morning we had a brunch with the local missionaries. It's important to fellowship with other Americans when we live overseas. We are so thankful to have family back home, supporters who allow us to be in the field of our calling, and other supporters who come along and do the special things, like Thanksgiving baskets.

Please add my thanks to the folks who made it possible. We sure do appreciate all you do to help the missionaries.

God bless,

Debbie and Mitch Martinez

Thank you SO much for our turkey! In the midst of a country full of chaos and unpredictability, Agape remains a constant! Thank you for your commitment to those on the ground! Happy Thanksgiving to the whole Agape staff & to your families.

Dear Agape,

We love you and the vital ministry you perform for missionaries like us.

We are missionaries in the Dominican Republic, serving with a ministry called Project Mañana International.  We moved to the mission field in January 2019, so this was our first Thanksgiving away from home.

We were so grateful to receive our Thanksgiving package, made possible by you, which included all the feel good comforts of an American Thanksgiving.  Thank you for helping to organize these packages and send love with them!  Our family was blessed by your service, and we were able to share the blessing with our Dominican family here - some experiencing their first Thanksgiving.  It was a great day!

Wishing you a Spirit-filled Christmas season and a great start to the 2020 New Year!  God bless your faithfulness to support missionaries in the field and for helping to make bridges between our former lives in the States and our lives here.

Dear Agape family,

Just want to say a big THANK YOU to all who helped prepare and send our Thanksgiving meal here to Haiti. It was such a blessing for us, as it always is.  This year we were able to share our meal with some 'freshly arrived' returning missionaries.  Bruce & Mary Melissa Vernon arrived in Haiti on Wednesday. They are returning to serve here after 30 year of serving in other places. It was a joy to renew our friendship after all this time.

Blessing to you and and may God grant you favor in all you do.

Roger & Margaret Clark | Haiti

Please share our heartfelt gratitude for your Thanksgiving Blessings! We enjoyed a delicious meal, and were encouraged by your prayers and support . Thank you for caring for our mission at Real Hope for Haiti.

Hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving. Here is a photo of our celebration yesterday. Dining with us yesterday were a friend of Alejandra’s and a friend of my eldest son Benjamin. Thank you for making this possible. Great time in family.

God bless,

Adam and Alejandra Waterman | Dominican Republic

Thanks everyone for this special meal we really appreciate that and we so happy when we can share a meal like that with family and friend may the name of our Lord be glorified.

Sincerely, Christophe Sainvil | Haiti

Thank you all for blessing us with the great-tasting turkey and fixings! It was so nice to receive and prepare for our special guests and other families.

I especially appreciated the cooking bag for the turkey, the Carnation evaporated milk, the dressing mix, the whipped cream, and the special Hawaiian bread mix. We ate everything you sent with thankful hearts! Nothing was wasted!

Thanksgiving was truly special because of these gifts you sent!

With love & appreciation,

Dear brothers and sisters from Agape Flights and  Palma Sola Presbyterian Church

Thank you for the Thanksgiving Box!

The donation was a big blessing for our family in DR.

The Thanksgiving day, we received 3 family members from the United States and 3 Dominicans in our home.

We were very grateful to have the opportunity to share with them.

Unfortunately, we forgot to take the photo.

Two days after thanksgiving day, we invited a Dominican friend to have a lunch with us, because we had enough turkey to share again, and this time we took the photo.

We have 21 years serving the Lord in Dominican Republic. We give thanks for your generosity.

Blessings from the Pérez family!
