Between 30 and 60 volunteers each week provide much of the labor that makes things happen at Agape Flights. Each year, volunteers provide over 11,000 hours of labor in areas such as mail sorting, shopping, cargo preparation, reception, filing, maintenance and construction.

Current Volunteer Opportunities
Weekly Building Maintenance:
Currently, we are seeking 1 or 2 people to come on a weekly basis to clean the office area of the building (a team of 2 is best). Cleaning would include sweeping, mopping, vacuuming the stairs & second floor, trash emptied, and bathrooms restocked and cleaned. This would be a light duty cleaning and the estimated time of service would be approximately 2 hours. All supplies will be provided by Agape for use. The cleaning would need to be conducted during regular business hours of 8-4 M-F.
Monthly Building Maintenance:
Currently, we are seeking a group of 5 to 10 people to come in on a monthly or bi-monthly basis to deep clean the foyer, office space, break room and bathrooms. The cleaning requested would be extensive in nature. The request would be for, but not limited to, all the baseboards and trim cleared of dust and cobwebs, walls and cabinets wiped down, windows inside and out, floors would need to be swept, vacuumed and mopped, trash emptied-if needed, sinks counters and commodes cleaned, light fixtures cleaned-if needed, furniture polished, appliances (microwave, refrigerator etc.) cleaned out, and window sills wiped out, blinds dusted etc. The stairs and second floor would also need to be vacuumed. Estimated service time would be dependent on the amount of people involved. Some lifting would be required and because of the work in the hangar there will also be exposure to heat and red tide, when in season. (Though exposure would be minimal based on time spent in hangar to complete task) The ideal situation for us would be to have multiple groups to alternate throughout the year. The cleaning would need to be conducted during regular business hours of 8-4 M-F.
Currently, we are seeking 1 or 2 people to come in on a weekly basis to work in the Agape Flights yard. Work would include, but not be limited to, picking up sticks, debris, pine cones, and palm fronds. We also need someone to use a weed eater and add mulch on occasion. Estimated service time would be approximately 2 hours for one person or less for two persons. Physical requirements would be repetitive lifting, squatting, and bending. Because of the location of work, the volunteer will be in the elements and there will be exposure to heat and red tide when present. It is preferred that the work be performed during regular business hours on M-F between the hours of 8-4.
Currently, we are seeking up to 5 people to occasionally wash and detail the aircraft. This will need to be a scheduled cleaning approximately once every 2 to 3 months. Previous experience a plus but not required. There are heavy physical requirements including, but not limited to, repetitive squatting, lifting, and stretching. This is very strenuous work and will require several hours work at a time. This position is handled in the hangar/tarmac area and volunteers will be subject to sun and heat exposure as well as red tide, when in season. People with allergies to red tide or intolerant to heat may want to consider another volunteer position.
Mail Room Help:
Currently, we are seeking 1 person to work in our mailroom on Thursday mornings. This is a light duty position, within the cargo department. The volunteer will be responsible for sorting mail for our missionary affiliates into their individual mailboxes. Training will be provided. There are no physical restrictions. The total sorting process is generally less than an hour in duration. This position is considered ongoing, unless otherwise requested by volunteer.
