Chief Executive Officer

Ministry has been his life. Allen was blessed to be born a preacher’s kid, saved at an early age, and called to ministry as a teenager. For forty years he has faithfully served Christ in a variety of ministry roles, primarily as a Senior Pastor. For the last 30 years as a pastor he has been closely involved with mission endeavors around the globe. From Jamaica to Mexico, Cuba and Belarus, his life has been impacted by missionaries and national pastors. As Agape’s CEO, his passion for serving missionaries is clear and contagious. He is honored that God has called him to Serve Christ by Serving His Missionaries.

He is a communicator of the Word of God and he loves sharing the vision and the mission of Agape Flights!

Married to Jennifer Mathewson Speer, with five children, one son-in-law, and two daughter- in-laws.  Laura and Christopher, Robby and Meredith, Daniel and Jenna, and sons Micah and David; and four grandchildren.

Allen enjoys golf, fishing, and his grandchildren!

Director of Missionary Services  (cargo operations, missionary affiliation)

Jeff accepted Christ into his life at the age of four and had the privilege of growing up in a Christian family. As he entered high school, he knew that God was calling him into ministry, but just wasn’t sure where. While studying at Liberty University, it became clear that God was calling him into missions.  After graduating from LU in 1997 with a Cross-cultural degree, he lived in Korea for a year to gain some “practical experience” in a foreign culture. He got married in 2001 and worked as a flight instructor for a couple years before he and his wife, Crystal, joined Agape in February of 2004.

Cargo Manager  (cargo operations)

Rod grew up on a farm in Central NYS. He fell in love with Jesus when he was 12, and followed His lead to college and a short career in the housing industry. In 1980, the Lord led Rod back to the farm for nearly 30 years, of which he spent caring for the needs of dairy cows. In 2000, he and his wife Janet, had the opportunity to go to Haiti on a short mission trip, and that is where they left their hearts. Seven years later, God said,” Sell the cows,” and they did. Now he loves caring for the needs of missionary families, and understands that, “giving up that which I love for the one who loves me more that I can understand has lead me to a love I would never have known without Him.”

In his free time Rod enjoys home and garden projects and discovering Florida with his wife, Janet

Missionary Care Coordinator

In 2018, Darin responded to a call to fill the Missionary Care Coordinator position after a 37 year career in regulatory compliance and quality assurance. He became a believer at an early age and has held many lay positions in churches; most of which revolved around directly serving others.

The decision that he and his wife, Cathy, made to move from the mid-west to sunny coastal Florida was one filled with faith that the Father has a definite plan for His children. They have 2 children and 6 grandchildren still living in the Heartland. Darin draws strength from God’s Word, much prayer, as well as passages from Oswald Chambers’ My Utmost for His Highest.

Finance Specialist

Marsha was born and raised in Irwin, a small town in the Pittsburgh area, and came to Florida in 1978.

She has worked over 30 years in the areas of administration and/or accounting in a variety of fields.

Marsha is excited to be part of the Agape Family and to be serving through such a valuable ministry. Her faith has brought her through many challenges and she continues to live by Philippians 4:13 “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me”.

Marsha loves spending her spare time with her 3 grandchildren and is blessed that they all live right here in Venice.

Director of Development (Donor connections, resource development)

With roots planted in the corn fields of central Illinois, Carole and her husband were "transplanted" to Florida's gulf coast in February, 2008.  She joined Agape Flights later that year, and became the Director of Development in 2009. She has more than 15 years of professional experience in resource development, program administration, volunteer management and event planning.

Carole is honored to serve the gracious and generous donors who support the “life-changing and saving” mission of Agape Flights.

Shelly Watkins2

Donor Relations & Database Manager

For Shelly, coming to work at Agape Flights has been a journey both personally and geographically.  After years of raising children, volunteering and pastoring alongside her husband in the Midwest, moving to the Suncoast of Florida opened up the opportunity to serve in Christian aviation.

Her heart is in service and giving, so it is her joy to come alongside our faithful donors as we support the work of the Saints.  To God be the Glory!

In her spare time she enjoys good books, walks on the beach, spending time with family and occupying the passenger seat on road trips.

Communications Manager

Abby Duncan graduated from Indiana University with a Bachelor’s in Communication & Culture and Journalism.

Whether it is through Flightline, the Agape website, social media, or any other communication platform - she is excited and passionate about sharing what God is doing in and through Agape Flights.

1 Corinthians 16:14 is a life verse for Abby, "Let all that you do be done in love."

She and her husband love playing with their two children and exploring this beautiful place they call home - Florida!

Church and Community Relations Coordinator

CarolAnne is honored to have the privilege of serving at Agape Flights.  Originally from Nova Scotia, and after enduring Maine winters for more than 30 years, she and her husband are delighted to now have a Florida zip code.

While in Maine, CarolAnne enjoyed a diverse and extensive nonprofit career, with the last 17 years focused in the areas of resource development, with particular attention to benefactor relationships and philanthropic events.

She divides her spare time between family, church, and exploring Southwest Florida and beyond.

Chief Mechanic(DOM) & Pilot

Greg was born and raised near Dayton, Ohio.  He earned his Airframe and Powerplant Technician ratings while attending a joint vocational school/high school, and went on to earn an associates degree in Aviation Maintenance Technology. Greg has eleven years of aviation maintenance experience, working on aircraft ranging from light pistons to large corporate jets.

He is passionate about using his God-given gifts and abilities to serve the Lord by maintaining Agape’s aircraft to highest of safety standards.

Some of his interests include flying (he is a private pilot as well), scuba diving and playing the bass guitar for his church’s worship team. Greg has been married to his wife Sierra since June 2013, and the two have no children apart from their beloved dog, Macy.

Growing up as an Air Force “brat”, Jeff always loved to be around planes and wanted to be a fighter pilot. His need for glasses prevented that, but God had other plans. Halfway through his studies at Liberty University, God opened the doors for Jeff to study at Moody Aviation. He completed the program at Moody in 2001, earning his commercial pilot license and A&P certificate.
Jeff worked for two years as a flight instructor before he and his wife, Crystal, followed the call to join Agape. They have been with Agape since February of 2004.

Volunteer Pilot

Steve began flying at the early age of 16. He has spent 42 years in commercial aviation including air cargo transport, on demand air taxi operations, air ambulance and as a corporate pilot for his own former business. He now owns and operates an air touring operation in Louisville, Kentucky with an open cockpit biplane.

Steve has always had a passion for using his flying skills to serve God and is now living that dream by volunteering his time as a missionary pilot. Steve and his wife reside in both Fort Myers, Fla., and Louisville, Ky. Steve has been involved with Agape Flights since March 2008.

Volunteer Pilot

Doug grew up in Ohio and attended Hesston College. It was here that he earned his pilot’s license and where every landing is a crosswind landing.  After receiving his B.A. in business administration from Goshen College in Indiana, Doug worked in commercial lending before he and his wife felt they were called to the mission field.

They served in Haiti and Belle Glade, Fla., for three years.  Doug is now owner of Graber Associates, a regional sales office that sells church furniture for the Sauder Company.  Doug began volunteer piloting for Agape in 2004 and holds commercial, multi and instrument ratings.

Volunteer Pilot & Mechanic

Aaron works daily towards being a simple servant. Before serving at Agape, Aaron worked for Walmart Logistics in all areas; including safety and compliance. He has been flying on and off since 1989, and received his commercial pilot training while flying for Continental Connection. His mechanic background comes from serving as an F-14 mechanic in the U.S. Navy.

Originally from Guyana, S.A., Aaron now resides with his wife, Shannon, in Port Charlotte. He serves and supports our missionaries because of “the years of often tedious work they put into each area, and their daily impact to precious lives.”
