Prayer for the Liborio Family
Update
12/29
http://lectiocontinua.blogspot.com/2009/12/sad-but-ultimately-not-tragic.html
This
news is not happy news but praise the Lord he is with
the Heavenly Father. Please let everyone know that
their prayers are greatly appreciated by his wife Sara
who is asking for continued prayer for herself and their
two small children.
12/21/09..
Sarah
& Hugo Liborio are DR members. They are SCORE
missionaries in Juan Dolio. They went to the States for
the birth of their baby girl in October and were waiting
for her paperwork to return. On 12/21, Hugo, 29 years
old, had a heart attack and brain aneurysm. The last we
heard from Sarah, they were doing one more test before
taking him off life support.
Please pray for his wife, Sarah, and children, Mattias
(2 years old) and Layla (2 months old). Sarah is giving
glory to God and praying God uses this example to
energize His servants to serve more fervently with the
life we have been given.
Update
from the Dominguez 11/23/09
Dear Agape Flights,
Our family says thank you! Thank you for carefully
shipping our belongings when we journeyed all the way
from
Dallas
,
TX
to
Santiago
, R.D.
The children who attend our Kid's
Klub each week say thank you for always getting their
prizes and books here on time!
Our little 5 year old Starr thanks
you for delivering her large envelope full of letters
from her friends in
Dallas
when her brain seizures started again and she was having
a hard time adjusting to this new land and people.
Thank you for allowing the pilots
to stay at our house for an evening! What a joy it was
for our children to actually have real pilots under
their roof!
Thank you for making sure that the
clothes we needed arrived when we needed them!
Thank you for keeping the
missionaries connected...we made new friends here.
Thank you so much for living out
your name-Agape!
Thank you for Roger Mort, he's a
great guy! Tim, Glen and the other captains as well!
We love you,
The Dominguez family

Update
from the Reinhards.
Dear
AGAPE Family of volunteers and staff:
We want to try to express our heartfelt thanks for your
kindness during this time of our great loss. It
brought tears to my eyes again as I opened the second
box that you sent. Your prayers, love, and support
are greatly appreciated and thank you for showing your
love in such a practical way. We will be reminded
again and again as we enjoy the goodies you sent of our
wonderful Family of God that continues to lift us up in
prayer.
May God bless you for your thoughtfulness.

Sunday morning, October 20, 2009, a member of the Agape
Flights Missionary Family was on his way to church on a
motorcycle with Gabriel, their five year old son in
front and Sarah their sixteen year-old daughter behind.
A motorcycle came from a hidden side street right out in
front of them. The
motorcycles collided and then Tim’s motorbike careened
off into a concrete ditch where it hit hard. Gabriel
flew into the air and came down on his head. Sarah and
Tim were also seriously injured. They were rushed to the
hospital but Gabriel died shortly after arriving in
spite of all efforts.

Note from a Missionary Family
On behalf of all of the missionaries you service in the
D.R. and Haiti, we want to thank you for a job well done for all you did for us this holiday season. Thank you for all the shopping you did for all of us, for all of the extra coordinating, time, effort, shopping, and chaos that was involved, and for the extra flights to ensure that all of our Christmas shopping and boxes from home came in time for Christmas. Our hearts are heavy laden with gratitude; that's the truth. Neither the finest thank you notes the world has to offer nor the most embellished words and phrases of thanks can begin to express our thanks and appreciation to you. But please know that we are grateful beyond our ability to express it. Your sacrifices in our behalf have been translated into great joy and pleasure, and much gratitude. Thanks to everyone for everything. May our Lord, who has seen and noted every sacrifice, every deed, every point of service, reward each and every volunteer and Agape Flights in full measure in your own areas and levels of need. Mithun, missionaries in Santiago, DR
