Haiti Earthquake Relief Fund report

August 8, 2012

Through June 30, 2012, donors contributed $ 750,416.00 to the Haiti Earthquake Relief Fund.
The relief and rebuilding work made possible by this fund was divided into 3 different phases:

 

Phase 1
January 13 – September 30, 2010

Total disbursement: $381,019.00

$381,019.00 provided extra flights, relief supplies and sea container transportation.

The relief spending combined with millions of dollars’ worth of donated supplies and more than 20,000 volunteer hours provided immediate and critical relief to the Port Au Prince region.

 

Phase 2
October 1, 2010 – August 31, 2012

Total disbursement: $309,679.00

$32,803 provided extra flights, cholera response and ongoing relief supplies.

$276,876.00 in grant awards supported 14 projects on the field to rebuild, replace and revive!
The funds supported people and projects consistent with Agape’s mission, with an emphasis on:

  • Education
  • Care, feeding and job skill training
  • Micro-business job training and opportunities
  • Amputees
  • Housing
  • Medical services
  • Orphan care

 

Phase Three:

September 1, 2012 – September 30, 2013

The fund balance of $59,718 supported cholera relief and six grant awards to missionary programs to assist amputees, orphans and a community in need of clean water.
