Intercessory Prayer GuideMay God be glorified and the name of Jesus Christ be magnified through the work of Agape Flights. It is our desire that prayer surround everything we do.
·
Through prayer we seek the leadership and guidance of the Holy Spirit. · Through
prayer we claim the promise of protection from the enemy’s deceptions and
temptations. · Through
prayer we claim God’s promise that our work in Jesus’ name will bear rich,
abundant and lasting fruit for His kingdom. Intercessory Prayer
The purpose of intercession is to establish the will of
the Father on earth. He desires all men to be saved and to
come to the knowledge of the truth. 2 Timothy 2:4 Then from the Old Testament we read: For I know the plans that I have for
you, declares the LORD, plans for welfare and not for calamity to give you a
future and a hope. Jeremiah 29:11 Within the broad scope of His plan we can approach the
Father on behalf of others, praying as He has instructed us. Through the
medium of prayer we are instrumental in establishing the intercession of Jesus
on earth. Praying for Agape Flights means praying personally for
the staff, for their specific needs, flight
safety, their marriages and families, their constant growth in faith and
obedience to God. It means praying for the Board of Directors and both
national and international associates of the ministry, for their faithfulness
in doing all that they are responsible to do. It means praying that God will use Agape as a lifeline
of hope to over 300 missionaries and their families. They need our prayers for
the Spirit to guide and give them the strength they need. It means praying for the people of Haiti. the Bahamas and the
Dominican Republic — those who are lost and need the Savior, as well as
those Christians living a
Christ-filled life before their neighbors. We invite you to join Agape’s Intercessory Prayer Ministry. Prayer Strategy
Pray that the Holy Spirit will speak to us as we
intercede on behalf of the ministry of Agape Flights to fulfill the great
commission (Matthew 28:19-20). In all things imitate Christ’s humility. (Philippians 2:1-11) In the end
we pray that every knee should bow & tongue confess that Jesus Christ is
Lord, to the glory of God the Father. Pray that God’s will be done in our lives and
through the ministry! This is our highest goal, that for which we should pray
and strive. God’s agenda must be
our agenda. This is the confidence we have in
approaching God: that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us.
And if we know that he hears us - whatever we ask-we know that we have what we
asked of him. (1 John 5:13-15) Imitate Christ through prayer (Matthew 6:10). Yet not my will but yours be done. (Luke 22:42) I am the Lord’s
servant. May it be as you have said. (Luke 1:38). Pray in Faith If you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say
to this mountain, move from here to there and it will move.
Nothing will be impossible for you.
Matthew 17:20-21
Ask, seek, and knock (Matthew 7:7-8, Mark 11:22-26) Pray . . .
· regularly (Matthew 6:6) · with fasting (Matthew 6:16) · armed and armored. Submit to God; resist the devil (James 4:7, Ephesians 6:10) · in the Holy Spirit, not on your own insight · steadfastly (Colossians 4:2) · with thanksgiving (Psalm 50:23) Be
