  • Flew from Venice, FL with escorts to assist with the transportation of orphans.

  • A relief team and baby supplies were flown to the Children of the Promise Orphanage in Cap Haitien.

Tuesday, February 2nd

Embraer 110 (Bandit)

  • Flew out this morning with some medical personnel to Cape Haitian and relief supplies to Port au Prince.

Monday, February 1st

DC-6

  • Flew out of Miami Monday with 25,000 pounds of supplies to Port au Prince.  

  • Thank you to Bayside Community Church for underwriting the cost of this flight.

Saturday, January 30

Embraer 110 (Bandit)

  • Flew out early to Santiago, D. R. and Les Cayes, Haiti with 3500 pounds of core and relief supplies. 

Twin Otter

  • Flew out Saturday morning with 4,000 pounds of supplies to Port au Prince.

  • Expected return Saturday evening to be reloaded.

Surprise Visit!

  • We enjoyed a wonderful visit by Haiti missionaries, George and Carol Ann Truelove. They were in the U.S. for a family wedding at the time of the earthquake and plan to return to Haiti in February.  They stopped by Agape Flights for the day and brought back packs full of supplies for delivery to Haiti's earthquake victims. Carol Ann remarked, "the people have always been poor, now they are homeless."              To Haiti with love...

  • Returned on Thursday evening to be reloaded with supplies.

Thursday evening Agape received 4 pallets of medical supplies donated by World Medical Relief. A donated Caravan, flown by pilots from Illinois delivered the needed supplies.

  •  The Bandit is making Core (regular) runs today to the missionaries Agape serves in the Dominican Republic and Haiti.      

King Air 350

  •  The King Air was loaned to Agape by Prince Contracting in Tampa.  It took about 800lbs of relief cargo and 1 passenger to PAP today.      

Pine View School Contribution

  • When the incredible students at Pine View School, Osprey, FL. decided to raise funds for the Haiti relief efforts, they meant business.  In just four days, the students raised $24,000!!  The students presented the contribution to Agape Flights today during an outside school assembly.  THANK YOU students, parents, faculty, staff and administrators of Pine View.  Your donation will fuel the planes delivering supplies to Haiti.       To Haiti with love...

Tuesday Update, January 26

Embraer 110 (Bandit)

  • AirNow, a freight transport company located in Bennington, VT has donated the use of one of their aircraft and pilot John Somero, to Agape Flights for a month! The plane arrived this afternoon loaded with supplies donated by people from Bennington. The plane will make its first Agape flight Wednesday morning.     http://www.airnow.com/haitirelief.html

 

Monday Update, January 25

B-55 Baron

  • Plane left with critical supplies to Haiti this morning.
  • The return flight is expected to deliver orphans from the "Children of Promise" orphanage to their adoptive parents some time this evening in Sarasota.

King Air 200

  • Landed in PAP today with critical supplies for our missionaries.  

 

 

Sunday Update, January 24

Citation 525

  • A medical team departed the Agape hangar this morning. Hearts Afire, a ministry based in Sarasota, FL has offered to coordinate future medical teams.

  • The return flight is expected to deliver orphans from the "Children of Promise" orphanage to their adoptive parents some time this evening.

King Air 200

  • Departed with supplies from Venice, FL around 3:00 p.m.

 

 

Saturday Update, January 23

King Air 90

  • Agape Flights’ King Air 90 right landing gear collapsed upon landing in Jacmel , Haiti . 

  • The two pilots are safe and in route to the U.S.  

  • Information is limited at this time; the damage to the plane is being assessed, but it is clear Agape Flights’ King Air 90 will not be in service for a significant time.  

  • Since the earthquake disaster, Agape Flights has been making multiple flights each day with the use of donated and leased planes. Agape Flights continues to make Haiti relief flights to the 130 missionary families we serve in Port au Prince and regular deliveries to the other 200 missionary families we serve in Haiti , the Bahamas , and the Dominican Republic .

  • Landed with supplies at 6:00 a.m.

Sea Container                 

  • Arrived in port at 11:30 a.m.

Friday Update, January 22 

DC-6

  • The aircraft has had some mechanical problems so the flight has been delayed 12 hours.  It is intended to load and depart before midnight on Friday.
  • Donated funds have allowed Agape Flights to charter this aircraft for a one time trip from Miami into Port au Prince.  It will carry emergency supplies – medical, food, water.

Aztec

  • This plane has been donated for our use for a week.  It is ferrying supplies from the Dominican Republic to Port au Prince.  It is scheduled to make two flights on Friday with relief supplies.

King Air 90

  • This airplane is ferrying donated relief supplies from the Dominican Republic to Port au Prince.  It is owned by Agape Flights.

C414

  • The plane did multiple runs between the Dominican Republic and Port au Prince with relief supplies.  This plane has been donated for our use for a number of days.
  • This aircraft will be used to ferry orphans back to Florida

B-55 Baron

  • This donated plane will be returning from Haiti to Sarasota with a load of orphans.

Medical Teams

  • Arrangements have been made to fly in two medical teams of 4 and 5 persons on Saturday and one 5 person team on Sunday from Venice to Haiti .  These medical personnel will replace teams currently there who are coming out after serving for the last week. The plane has been donated for use.  

 Significant Incoming Goods

  • Downs Food Group has donated 50,000 pounds of canned chicken.  These recipient are coming in on skids in very large cans and will arrive in 2 to 3 days

Thanks to Our Agape Missionary Network  

  • Dominican Republic Missionaries served by Agape are gathering food and medical supplies for the missionaries in Haiti .
  • On the ground in Port au Prince Agape missionaries are meeting the planes, and unloading and dispersing the incoming supplies.

 

Thursday Update, January 21 

DC-6

  • Pallets have been delivered from Venice to the hangar in Miami for loading into a DC-6 aircraft.   
  • Donated funds have allowed Agape Flights to charter this aircraft for a one time trip from Miami into Port au Prince.  It will carry emergency supplies – medical, food, water, etc. and will leave on late with on Friday.

King Air 200

  • This is a donated airplane, complete with fuel and flight crew.  It delivered its load of medical supplies and returned late afternoon.  The owner has also offered it for another flight scheduled for Monday.

Aztec

  • This plane has been donated for our use for a week.  It is ferrying supplies from the Dominican Republic to Port au Prince.  It made four flights with relief supplies.
